Jack Weigand had no idea what was about to happen to him while he was innocently ordering a laptop computer from Dell Computer Corp. In mid February 2002, Jack went online to order the laptop from Dell. He then called Dell to get a delivery date. Dell told him Feb 21st 2002. The 21st came and went and Jack called back to get a status on his purchase only to find that Dell canceled his order for him. When Jack asked why, he was told he fit a profile of a company or person that may use the laptop for illegal purposes... Nice. Way to go Dell. That's the way to alienate your customers! |
